Privacy policy
Last updated 16 September 2026
StreamGenie has no accounts and no login. We have tried to keep the amount of data involved as close to zero as is practical.
What stays on your device
Your selected streaming services, your watchlist, and titles you’ve dismissed are stored in your browser’s localStorage. That data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently — we hold no copy and cannot restore it.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage analytics, via Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. This records page views, performance timings, and which features are used (for example, that a “where to watch” link was clicked, and for which provider). It is aggregated and does not identify you.
- Standard server logs generated by our host when a page is requested.
We do not set advertising cookies, we do not build user profiles, and we do not sell or share data with data brokers.
Search prompts
Text you type into the search box is sent to our server to generate recommendations, and may be processed by a third-party language model provider to interpret it. Prompts are cached briefly to avoid repeat processing. Please don’t put personal information in the search box — it isn’t the right place for it.
Third parties
- TMDB — title, artwork, and availability data
- OMDb — Rotten Tomatoes scores
- Vercel — hosting and analytics
- Anthropic — search prompt interpretation, where enabled
- Streaming providers and affiliate networks— when you click an outbound link, the destination receives that referral and applies its own privacy policy, which we don’t control
Children
StreamGenie is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no account data, there is generally nothing personal to export or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, email hello@elulabs.comand we’ll deal with it.
Changes
We’ll update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes.
